File an Ethics Complaint

Boards and associations of REALTORS® are responsible for enforcing the REALTORS® Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics imposes duties above and in addition to those imposed by law or regulation which apply only to real estate professionals who choose to become REALTORS®.  As such, a Code of Ethics complaint can only be filed against a member.

Code of Ethics

What does the Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice cover?

The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests. For more information visit the National Association of REALTORS® website

What if the agent or broker I am complaining about is not a REALTOR®?
Only REALTORS® have committed to adhere to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.  If your agent or broker is NOT a REALTOR® and you would like to file a complaint, you may wish to file your complaint with the Louisiana Real Estate Commission, which is the state government entity that governs all real estate licensees.
