Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Day

PRESS RELEASECelebrating their 50 years of community service to our member homeowner, civic, condo and property owner’s associations, the Federation of Greater Baton Rouge Civic Associations (FGBRCA), is once again partnering with Habitat/ReStore participate in our Fall service project to be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 8:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at both locations (10300 Perkins Road and 4301 Airline Highway). 

Donations of gently used/new household furniture and furnishings, fixtures, equipment, books, and building materials for needed for resale by Habitat/RESTORE’S nonprofit retail centers at discounted prices.  RESTORE helps fund the construction of Habitat houses within our community, while also benefits the environment by rechanneling good, usable materials into use.   For more information on Habitat/RESTORE, please call (225) 927-6651 or see their website habitatbrla.org/restore.  Pick-up services are available for large or bulky donations.  A small fee applies; please call (225) 315-0127 to schedule.

This community-wide service event is part of the FGBRCA’s 50th-year anniversary celebration.   In keeping with its motto: “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”, Federation volunteers will be on hand to assist with drop offs at both locations and provide information for any neighborhood association needing assistance with issues impacting homeowners.
